Dare to Imagine! Imagine a no-test, no-grade collegial academy for adults. Guess what. It does! The Adult Center for Enrichment (A.C.E.) of Livingston County ...was established with you in mind: to bring together teacher and student in a collegial and enriching environment. To seek out instructors to offer a range of classes. To seek out students with a range of experience. And to provide a growth opportunity for both. Formatted as four to eight week sessions with a student registration fee of $30 per class, (with a small stipend available to instructors) currently classes are offered at the Lansing Community College Howell Campus on Thursdays and Fridays. Up and running in the Summer of 2006, with a catalog of six classes and enrollment of 40 students, it was followed by a Fall session with 55 students. Going forward, the
winter schedule has been expanded to 8 classes. Instructor? Contact instructor/class coordinator: Bob McKenzie at 810-229-0020 Student? Contact class registrar: Contact LCC at 517-545-3522 Initiated as a collaborative effort between Lansing Community College faculty and staff and your Livingston County senior centers, A.C.E. has taken on a life of its own. A.C.E. is being incorporated as a 501(c)3 with a volunteer board, with a goal to spread the adult collegial opportunity across the county. Join the movement!
